Lupita Romero is an interdisciplinary artist studying gesture, color and light, exploring memory, tradition, and social constructs, working with paper, paint, and organic materials, believing that the heart of the art justifies it's medium.
She has exhibited her work in New York City at various group exhibitions. She is a recipient of the Strategic Funds Fellowship from the Undocumented & Immigrant Student Programs of the City University of New York.
She is from Teotihuacan, Mexico, she migrated to New York City as a child and is now based in Queens. She earned her Associates Degree in Latin American Studies from LaGuardia Community College and she is now pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Studio Arts from Hunter College.
